Yoga & Sacred Sound Retreat with guest facilitator Olivia Fern

14th – 17th March Weekend Retreat and 17th-21st Midweek Retreat

Venue: Elemental Retreats, Hawkshead, The Lake District.

This retreat weaves together deeply nurturing, and focused yin yoga, with the meditative and healing power of sound. With Suzy-Anne Saunders & other sound healers, featuring a couple of special sessions with the magical singer songwriter Olivia Fern. The essence of our journey on this retreat is one of Nada Yoga, ‘union through sacred sound’. During the retreat we will be using various sound healing techniqes, yoga asana woven with simple chanting and sound practises, breath work, meditation and yoga nidra with instruments, immersive sound baths, Kirtan and drum meditation. Supporting our bodies and minds, and connecting into the external and internal Nada (sacred sound), can take us to a deeper level of awareness and balance that can weave through into our wider lives. We will be using sound with yin and hatha asana practise, pranayama, mudras and bandas, and an overall awareness of the chakras. As our conscious sound, breath and asana practise rebalances the body, opens and activates the nadis and chakra, we can step into a more awakened state.

Yoga Medicine Summer Solstice Retreat

with guest facilitator Olivia Fern

20th – 23rd June 2025. Weekend Retreat

Venue: Elemental Retreats, Hawkshead. The Lake District,

Yoga Medicine retreat is a blend of asana, pranayama and meditation inspired from the ancient texts of Yoga, infused with empowering practises from Earth based spiritual traditions of Shamanism, and inspiration from the Pagan fire festivals to celebrate the seasons. Join us with a focus of the Summer Solstice. The days are at their longest, the nights are at their shortest, and from this moment on they will begin to turn back the other way. In the Summer Solstice we can honour the cycle of all things in the natural world, including ourselves and our lives.  It is a moment to pause. To reflect back to the Winter Solstice and acknowledge all that has happened in the last 6 months, and to celebrate all you have achieved and gathered. It is a time to look ahead to the new cycle that is about to begin. It is a time to honour the light and dark within ourselves, our inner and outer world, our sun and moon. From here we can open to any transformation that this can bring.
